Beyond their heart-protective properties, beans are also an excellent source of protein, dietary fiber, vitamins, iron, and several other key nutrients. These qualities make them a highly nutritious and affordable food option, particularly relevant in the Ghanaian context where beans are a staple ingredient in many traditional dishes such as waakye, red-red, and tubaani.

Despite their well-established nutritional value and the growing body of research supporting their health benefits, some people continue to avoid beans. "I get allergies when I eat beans', Janet Mensah a level 400 student at UniMAC - IFT said, "I feel bloated whenever i take in beans" Halima Abubarkar also added.
